The Role

The Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with internal customers, procurement category managers and strategic suppliers. The Relationship Manager will work closely with various Public Sector departments in support of strategic and or high dollar value State and local government agency customer opportunities, ensuring third party supplier requirements are understood, and shared with category managers

This position has been designated as fully remote in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

Resale and pipeline & business coordination 
•    Engage with business (e.g., Sales, Product, PMO) for all resale/customer opportunities to allow greater visibility & to proactively manage upcoming needs 
•    Liaison between business & procurement category managers on all internal business unit resale needs to streamline communications 
•    Train on proper procurement engagement processes 
Deal analysis 
•    Review customer RFP’s and ensure procurement category managers understand third party/supplier requirements 
•    Assess opportunities across supply base to drive greater margin for Lumen 
•    Monitor tiered pricing agreements to ensure appropriate pricing for current volume.  
Supplier relationship management 
•    Quarterback relationships with strategic suppliers that span enterprise resale & multiple internal Lumen categories  
•    Orchestrate Lumen's interactions with suppliers (e.g., annual target setting, QBRs on supplier performance & SLAs, joint initiative pursuits) 
•    Determine coordination approach with relevant parties (inside Proc. & other Lumen stakeholders) before category managers initiate supplier negotiations

What We Look For in a Candidate

 Qualifications & Skills:  
Required:  

•    Bachelor's degree and or relevant experience.
•    Minimum 8 plus years of related experience.  
•    Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communications skills useful for managing senior level internal relationships, and complex suppliers.   
•    Experience overseeing supplier relationships for an assigned set of products and/or services including regular supplier performance reviews and discussions. 
•    Proven background in negotiating high complexity, and high dollar contract negotiations in a fast-paced environment.  
•    Ability to work independently and in a team environment; self-motivated; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to process large amounts of often complex data; detail oriented. 
•    Intermediate to advanced professional experience in reviewing contract terms.  
•    Strong to expert knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba.   
•    Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
•    Experience working in a fast-paced, high visibility environment with frequently shifting priorities.  
•    Advanced Microsoft Office skills, intermediate to advanced Excel. 

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

 

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL  AR  AZ  FL  GA  IA  ID  IN  KS  KY  LA  ME  MO  MS  MT  ND  NE  NM  OH  OK  PA  SC  SD  TN  UT  VT  WI  WV  WY  
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO  HI  MI  MN  NC  NH  NV  OR  RI  
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK  CA  CT  DC  DE  IL  MA  MD  NJ  NY  TX  VA  WA
