Summary:
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to five standalone Children's Hospitals in the Northeast Region designated to the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA). You will lead and execute Vizient’s non-labor spend management strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to deliver measurable value to clients. You will draw on your deep healthcare supply chain expertise and excel at building strong relationships with executive stakeholders to identify and implement cost-saving and performance-enhancing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Engage client leadership to address non-labor spend challenges using healthcare supply chain expertise, industry trends, and Vizient best practices.
Leverage Vizient insights and data to deliver actionable, value-based recommendations aligned with clients’ strategic goals.
Lead the development and execution of account plans, project workplans, and renewal strategies in collaboration with client stakeholders and internal teams.
Align analytics to client priorities and lead cross-functional teams in recommending and implementing category-specific initiatives with measurable Return on Investment (ROI).
Conduct regular business reviews and executive briefings to communicate roadmap progress, value delivered, and future opportunities.
Develop and execute spend management roadmaps that support client value creation and identify upsell and standardization opportunities.
Administer Vizient programs (e.g., Impact Standardization, Novaplus, Group Buys) and ensure accurate tier alignment to maximize client benefit.
Serve as the primary liaison for supplier coordination, including issue resolution, contract pricing activation, and aggregation network participation.
Deliver client education and training on Vizient tools, services, and portal usage in partnership with product and Spend Management Delivery teams.
Maintain accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) documentation (e.g., contact updates, opportunities, account plans) and facilitate internal collaboration through regular team updates.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry required.
Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain operations, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting, and spend analytics required.
Advanced analytical skills, including Excel proficiency, to interpret complex data sets, support decision-making, and identify cost-saving opportunities across spend categories required.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior healthcare executives and cross-functional internal teams.
Demonstrated success in leading complex projects, strategic planning, and consultative advisory solution selling.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to clearly communicate value and influence decision-making.
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience is a plus.
Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
