Position Details:

Strong analytical skills, work ethic, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory and product compliance requirements for Terex’s import and export activities (e.g., CBAM, EUDR, and relevant import and export related product-specific regulations). This role focuses on tracking regulations, structuring programs, analyzing data, verifying processes, and reporting.

The primary purpose of this role to support CBAM and EUDR compliance programs however this role is expected to evolve overtime to also support broader trade compliance and product regulatory initiatives that impact international trade across Terex business globally.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Regulatory Analysis & Monitoring

  • Monitor and assess emerging and existing regulations such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and EU Deforestation Regulation, to determine their applicability to Terex and its legal entities.
  • Identify potential compliance risks, gaps, and challenges stemming from regulatory changes affecting EU and UK imports and exports.
  • Provide timely updates and insights to key stakeholders on relevant legislative developments.

Program Development & Implementation

  • Support the design, development and implementation of compliance programs and processes, including supplier regulatory data collection in collaboration with procurement, trade and customs, and product teams.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, global trade and customs, and product engineering teams to ensure seamless rollout and integration of compliance initiatives.
  • Develop training materials and guidance to ensure successful adoption of compliance programs.

Product and Regulatory Compliance Oversight

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing improvement of CBAM and EUDR compliance programs across functions and regions.
  • Monitor adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies, ensuring clear accountability across teams.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain, trade and customs, and other stakeholders to maintain CBAM and EUDR regulatory compliance for imports and exports.
  • Partner with trade and customs, logistics, shipping teams and customs brokers to ensure accurate customs declarations, supported by proper product and material compliance documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive records to support reporting and inspections.
  • Identify and escalate non-compliance issues, supporting the development and execution of corrective actions where needed.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyse regulatory and products data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with regulatory criteria.
  • Manage or validate regulatory submissions, including post-import/export reports to governing authorities.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with cross-functional global teams (engineering, product management, procurement, trade and customs, logistics) to ensure alignment with regulatory and product compliance requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for import/export CBAM and EUDR compliance matters and provide subject matter expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field from accredited college/university or equivalent relevant work experience in regulatory compliance, sustainability, or supply chain compliance roles.
  • 3 + years of experience in regulatory compliance including trade and custom, sustainability, environmental law, supply chain due diligence, or corporate governance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Understanding of CBAM, EUDR, and other EU/UK sustainability regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory product compliance best practices, particularly in the EU/UK.
  • Advanced data analytics capabilities and ability to complete thorough risk assessment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process improvement and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams regionally or globally across multiple functions.
  • Ability to assess emerging regulations and determine applicability to multiple business segments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Languages:

Fluent in English both written and spoken.

Travel:

Must be willing and able to travel locally and globally as required (up to 10%)
