Salary Range: $93,750-$206,250

 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,750 - $206,250 plus bonus eligibility and other elements of our total rewards package.  The range represents the amount bnsf | tech reasonably expects to pay for the position based on the level, scope, and responsibilities of the role.  Individual compensation is determined by the hiring location and additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

As an SAP Full Stack Developer: 

  • Design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient full-stack SAP Fiori/UI5 applications. 

  • Enhance existing UI5 applications, customize standard Fiori apps, build reusable UI components, and improve Fiori Launchpad configurations. 

  • Perform ABAP development tasks across various SAP modules, engaging in design, coding, testing, and debugging. 

  • Optimize the performance of existing SAP UI5 apps, ABAP programs and Interfaces. 

  • Develop integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite (previously SAP Cloud Platform Integration), connecting SAP systems with third-party systems, external databases, and cloud applications. 

  • Maintain and enhance existing interfaces developed in SAP PO, monitor and troubleshoot integration flows. 

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code 

  • Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data 

  • Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to swiftly troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues with functional consultants, BASIS, and integration teams. 

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, documentation, and post-go-live support. 

  • Support end-to-end integration with SAPUI5/Fiori, OData services, and third-party applications. 

  • Learn and support in designing and developing basic HANA views (attribute views, analytic views, and calculation views) according to business requirements. 

  • Gain experience in creating and optimizing simple SQL scripts and stored procedures in SAP HANA. 

  • Learn and support the implementation of real-time data transfer solutions using SAP SLT, assisting in basic design and development of real-time data replication processes, and supporting the configuration and monitoring of SLT replication jobs. 

  • Participate in understanding data consistency and integrity concepts, support data reconciliation and error handling, and assist in documenting basic real-time data transfer processes and SLT configurations for knowledge sharing. 

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance operational efficiency. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

 

  • I am CURRENTLY authorized to work in the US 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent education or work experience.   

  • 1-3 years of experience in SAP development, with demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale solutions.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Learn and adapt quickly to various SAP modules and technologies. 

  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within the SAP ecosystem. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP Process Orchestration (PO), ABAP development, Data Analytics 

  • SAP Fiori/UI5: Proficiency in developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, leveraging SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and utilizing development tools Eclipse, SAP Web IDE and SAP Business Application Studio. Experience in monitoring application performance using tools like Dynatrace.        

  • ABAP development:  Hands-on expertise in RICEFW development, ABAP Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse, OData, REST services and optimizing ABAP programs and CDS views for performance. 

  • SAP Process Orchestration (PO): Proficiency in developing and maintaining SAP PO/PI and CPI integrations. 

  • Data Analytics: Ability to develop reports and dashboards using Power BI or SAP BusinessObjects. Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, and query optimization.  Exposure to SQL Script for stored procedures, functions, and views in HANA. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to grasp new technologies and apply them effectively. 

  • Basic functional knowledge of SAP modules such as FICO, MM, PM, HR is preferred. 

  • Basic knowledge of S/4 Hana Implementation project 

  • Understanding of SAP HANA Graph Engine and Spatial Data capabilities. 

  • Knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for advanced analytics and real-time reporting. 

  • Knowledge of custom code migration to SAP BTP environments.  

  • At least one SAP Certification in BTP or Integration Suite or ABAP in Cloud or Fiori/UI5.
