THE ROLE   

The Strategy Manager will be an integral member of the Legends Global Partnerships Team. The Manager will be responsible for working with active sponsorship property accounts and internal stakeholders, assisting with creative projects, including producing sales collateral. This person will aid in business intelligence/category research initiatives and manage special projects across Legends Global Partnerships team. While based in the US, the Strategy Manager will report to the European Strategy Director, supporting a number of different areas within the International and US partnership teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop sales collateral, working in collaboration with various internal and external members of the team to stay ahead of industry trends (i.e. Keynote/PowerPoint presentations, detailed proposals, fact sheets, etc.)
  • Independently manage own creative sales presentations and assist creative team with wider creative briefs. Track and report ongoing global sponsorship trends, to ensure best practice across all projects.
  • Manage elements of internal and external reporting, and CRM implementation across multiple projects.
  • Own and manage strategic elements of key projects, as agreed with European Strategy Director.
  • Lead on research projects to improve prospecting methodology, using up-to-date insights to ensure sales teams are engaged with the highest quality prospects.
  • Assist wider strategy team on ad-hoc research tasks and creative initiatives.
  • Assist where needed on creative support, and strategic brand outreach on key strategic projects.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years related work experience, preferably within the sports & entertainment industry

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Highly self-motivated, initiative-taking mindset that enables the ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized, with a laser-like focus on the details to proactively manage multiple clients/projects/priorities at once.
  • Proactive attitude with a very strong blend of analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to synthesize various data/feedback to help deliver succinct recaps. 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to communicate effectively with internal sales and management teams in English.
  • Strong skills in Adobe and the Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a commercial environment in sport.
  • Willingness to travel.

COMPENSATION 

Competitive salary range plus bonus potential commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.  

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.
