Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Engagement Operations - Associate Director, Sales Strategy & Operations, for the US Cell Therapy team at Kite, reporting to the Head of US Sales. The incumbent will serve as a key business partner to the US Sales Leadership team, be immersed in strategic and operational elements of the business, as well as take a lead role in catalyzing field projects while providing insight to the broader organization. This role is pivotal in driving project management excellence, fostering collaboration across the enterprise, and leading customer engagement-focused team meetings on both large and small scales.

Key Responsibilities, Specific activities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Management & Financial Budget Management:
    • Plan, execute, and oversee sales and operational projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
    • Ability to assume full responsibility for accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of deliverables completed through own efforts or those of cross functional partners.
    • Assist in financial and resource planning process (headcount, expenses, budget, etc.)

  • Collaboration Across the Enterprise:
    • Act as a liaison between sales, operations, marketing, CL&D, market access, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment to support ways of working and governance.
    • Partner with Marketing and CL&D to ensure field training needs and tactical execution are aligned and timelines are visible and achieved.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency. Share insights and best practices to enhance team performance and organizational growth.
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform business decisions and effectively report on sales performance to Exec Leadership team.

  • Strategic Engagement (Cross-Functional):
    • Lead and organize customer-focused team meetings, ranging from small strategy sessions to large-scale national meetings.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team satisfaction and feed team culture.
    • Work cross functionally on key initiatives that will impact the customer engagement team identified by US Head of Sales.

Basic Qualifications:

  • PHD/PharmD and 5 years sales or healthcare experience OR
  • MA/MS and 8 years of sales or healthcare experience OR
  • BA/BS and 10 years of sales or healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to effectively manage sophisticated and ambiguous projects, influence stakeholders without authority, effectively network across the organization, and partner with leaders in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology markets with an understanding of sales operations and project mgmt.
  • Highly resourceful and strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence, operational rigor, and project management capabilities
  • Meaningful leadership and communication skills across functions and leadership teams.
  • Experience facilitating large initiatives, including framing the problem and conducting research / analysis to improve and strengthen the business and operational plans through effective execution
  • Self-starter who thrives in a forward-thinking, collaborative, and imaginative high-growth environment

The salary range for this position is: $165,495.00 - $214,170.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
