Position Summary:
The Senior Marketing Automation Manager will serve as a strategic and technical leader across various marketing automation platforms, with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. This role will drive innovative customer experience solutions for our clients, optimizing marketing performance and efficiency. As a senior resource, this individual will be expected to lead client engagements, guide junior team members, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders across IT, Marketing, UX, Analytics, Development, and Design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery, requirements gathering and solutioning workshops with client to understand goals, challenges, and opportunities
- Create and present comprehensive solution documentation to internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as a SME and strategic advisor on Email, SMS, MobilePush and multi-channel marketing best practices
- Solution and implement repeatable, scalable solutions for low to highly complex marketing automation needs
- Proactively identify and present optimizations opportunities, innovation ideas and performance enhancements
- Build, test, deploy and optimize sophisticated campaigns and journeys
- Develop dynamic audience segmentations strategies leveraging explicit and implicit customer data
- Lead agile delivery execution, contributing work in epics and user stories, and ensuring quality sprint outputs
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members
- Oversee platform maintenance, data hygiene and marketing automation system enhancements in addition to enabling actionable reporting
- Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, creative and development teams to end-to-end solution execution
- Help shape thought leadership, best practice documentation and training for internal and external team members
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required)
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. or equivalent work experience
- Proven expertise architecting and executing cross-channel marketing campaigns
- Experience scoping medium-large complexity Salesforce projects
- Deep understanding of data privacy and protection practices (CAN-SPAM, CASL, EU Privacy Directive, DPR, blacklisting, etc.)
- Proficiency in coding across SQL, JSON, HTML and CSS preferred
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a strong eye for quality and campaign performance optimization
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Experience working within Agile methodologies a plus
Salary Range: At the time of this posting the range for this position is $80 - $95k in the Twin Cities market. Final compensation could vary widely depending on local markets and the ideal hires skills and experience at the time of hire.
