Job description

Job Title: Performance Marketing Specialist

Reports to: Growth Marketing Manager

Location: Remote, USA

Job Status: Full-time, Exempt

Job Description and Purpose

The Performance Marketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution, optimization, and reporting of digital campaigns across primarily paid channels, with some support for organic efforts, to drive growth across Clinical Education Alliance’s (CEA’s) portfolio of companies, including HCP acquisition and engagement.

This is a heavily execution-focused role that owns campaign setup, management, and performance tracking across platforms like Google, Bing, LinkedIn, and Meta, with opportunities to test and scale emerging channels such as TikTok, YouTube, and programmatic/display. This role may also need to contribute to broader acquisition efforts, across SEO, email, events, and SMS marketing, based on campaign needs and priorities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented marketer with a technical mindset—comfortable navigating ad platforms, working with data, and running structured tests to optimize performance. You must be confident managing multiple campaigns at once and energized by iteration and problem-solving.

Essential Responsibilities

Execute and manage paid media campaigns across platforms, including Google, Bing, Meta, and LinkedIn

Set up and manage audience targeting strategies, including custom, lookalike, and retargeting segments

Monitor campaign performance metrics (ROAS, CAC, CTR, conversions) and implement optimizations

Conduct A/B tests on creative, copy, and targeting strategies

Deliver weekly regular reports and performance summaries, including using Excel, with comfort applying formulas, and organizing data for actionable insights

Help evaluate and test new platforms to expand reach and efficiency

Collaborate with the design team or use tools like Canva to develop campaign assets

Stay current on digital advertising trends, tools, and best practices

Support growth efforts across channels like SEO, email, SMS, and event marketing as needed

Qualifications

2–4 years of hands-on experience running paid digital campaigns (Google, LinkedIn, and Meta required)

Strong understanding of key performance metrics and optimization techniques

Proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, platform-specific dashboards, and Excel (including formulas and data manipulation)

Familiarity with targeting strategies, including segmentation, retargeting, and lookalikes

Experience managing budgets and pacing spend across campaigns

Comfort developing or partnering on creative assets (images, video, copy)

Exposure to SEO, email, SMS, or event marketing is a plus

Familiarity with advertising in an HCP-facing content is a plus

Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and commitment to continuous improvement

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred

Experience in healthcare or startup environments a plus
