Job description

Our Client, a global healthcare company, is seeking an Accounting Operational Excellence Senior Manager who will be responsible for leading end-to-end process transformation and optimization for Accounts Receivable, Cash Collection, and Credit Management. This includes conducting discovery workshops, designing process taxonomies and SOPs, aligning KPIs, and driving global standardization. This role acts as a global process controller and collaborates with internal stakeholders, COEs, and audit teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing finance operations.

 

This is a remote, contract role. The length of this contract will be until the end of 2025, with the likelihood of renewal well into 2026. The selected candidate must be able to work the Client's EU hours

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Finance Transformation discovery workshops specifically for Accounts Receivable, Cash Collection, and Credit Management
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AR-CC processes across GBS
  • Design and develop comprehensive process taxonomies, Service Delivery Models (SDMs), and detailed process maps
  • Standardize processes based on industry best practices and internal policy alignment
  • Define and monitor process metrics to measure efficiency, compliance, and transformation success
  • Act as controller for end-to-end AR-CC processes across geographies
  • Work with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to establish appropriate policies and governance
  • Evaluate and shift KPIs from transactional to value-based, analytical indicators
  • Perform root cause analysis on SLA performance at site level and develop cross-site remediation and enhancement strategies
  • Coordinate transformation plans with GPO teams and contribute to cross-functional service line initiatives
  • Partner with Internal Audit to establish control frameworks and compliance documentation
  • Align operational priorities between global functions, country teams, and business units
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and lead organizational change management activities
  • Manage a matrixed global team of regional process managers, sub-process owners, and data stewards
  • Collaborate with COEs, business partners, and GBS centers to harmonize tools, performance metrics, and process governance
  • Lead improvements to systems, tools, and processes with clear impact on business and functional performance
  • Share expertise across functional areas and contribute to a global network of best practice leaders
  • Provide leadership support during system implementations or enhancements affecting AR-CC
  • Other duties and strategic project work as assigned


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in GBS/Shared Services with deep functional knowledge of AR, Credit, and Collections
  • Proven experience in Finance Transformation, KPI development, and process optimization
  • Strong analytical and process design skills, including experience with taxonomy and SDM creation
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and finance systems implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage global stakeholders and work in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication, change leadership, and process governance capabilities
