Description

We are looking for a motivated Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our growing People team in Budapest. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s global Total Rewards strategy, with a particular focus on compensation benchmarking including equity, benefits administration, and annual reward processes. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to help design, manage, and review competitive and compliant reward practices across our international organization.


Area of responsibility:

· Support the implementation and management of compensation and benefits programs, policies, and processes across multiple countries.

· Conduct benchmarking and market analysis for total rewards — including annual salaries, bonus structures, and employee benefits.

· Participate in salary survey submissions and analyze data to support compensation review cycles.

· Responsible for participating in the benchmarking processes to gather and analyze market data in order to evaluate roles and determine competitiveness of our salaries, bonus and equity programs

· Ensure compliance with relevant taxation rules, labor laws, and government regulations in relation to compensation and benefits.

· Support in the preparation of annual salary reviews, bonus processes, and benefit renewals.

· Collaborate with Finance and Payroll teams on pay-related processes, deductions, tax treatments, and employee benefits administration.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of compensation & benefits practices, reporting, and internal guidelines.

· Provide reporting and analysis to management and HR business partners as needed.

· Support employee queries related to total rewards in a timely and professional manner.

· Responsibilities may include participating and leading special projects or processes; must be able to work independently with limited supervision

· Any further responsibilities as assigned by the manager

Requirements

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, or related role.

· Solid knowledge of compensation principles and frameworks.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and government compliance requirements related to employee remuneration.

· Familiarity with various payroll deductions and tax treatments.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly strong skills in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts) and confidence in using Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

· Self-starter with a proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset.

· Fluent written and spoken English is essential.

· Experience in working within a global, multi-country environment is an advantage.
