The Benefits Verification Specialist role is the perfect opportunity to amplify your career if you have a passion for accuracy and troubleshooting. Our Benefits Verification Specialist is responsible for performing online eligibility and benefit checks for applicable payers as outlined in the guidelines. You will also be required to call insurance companies directly to obtain required eligibility and benefits for all managed care, government, and commercial payers.  

As a Benefits Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for: 


  • Performing online eligibility and benefit checks for applicable payers 
  • Calling insurance companies directly to obtain required eligibility and benefits for all managed care, government, and commercial payers 
  • Processing accounts according to performance standards - timing, volume, and quality 
  • Contacting referral sources to obtain additional information that is required to complete the verification of benefits 
  • Providing exceptional customer service to external and internal customers, resolving any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner 



QUALIFICATIONS:  


  • High School Diploma Required. Associate Degree or Higher preferred.   
  • Minimum one year of insurance verification experience 
  • At least 1 year of experience applying knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement guidelines 
  • Ability to multitask within multiple systems
