Aura is on a mission to create a safer internet.  In a world where our lives are increasingly online, Aura's category-defining suite of intelligent digital safety products help millions of customers protect themselves against digital threats, and that number is growing rapidly.  This is an exciting phase at Aura, and our team of over 400 people worldwide is guided by a leadership slate that's successfully grown startups into multi-billion dollar organizations.

Come build with us!

About the Role:

We're looking for a Mid to Senior Level Product Designer to create world-class user experience for a new arm of our organization that extends the look and feel of our core product. You’ll contribute to shaping the design culture and process from the ground up and get to drive big and meaningful design problems. As part of the team your goals will be to help create high customer satisfaction and retention through the creation of industry leading intelligent protection experiences.

Your work will help define how people interact with Aura to safeguard themselves and their families—including experiences around identity protection, mobile device security, and proactive risk monitoring. You’ll collaborate closely with a high-performing, cross-functional team across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Design to bring these intelligent protection tools to life.

Day to Day:

  • Actively practice and evangelize the customer-centric design thinking
  • Translate complex product requirements and workflows into clean, well documented, user-friendly interfaces
  • Own and drive the design problems from ideation to implementation
  • Craft contextual experiences that maintain the aesthetic expressed across our existing product real estate
  • Extend both our product experience and design system while elevating our attention to accessibility, usability, and consistency
  • Build the relationship and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
  • Ground design decisions in a strong understanding of user behavior and business impact
  • Use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform iterative design decisions
  • Create journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive prototypes across the full product development lifecycle
  • Deliver well documented design specs ready for the development stage
  • Apply industry-standard research techniques—like user interviews, heuristic evaluations, and surveys—to inform design decisions with a clear understanding of user expectations.
  • Synthesizing research findings and creating product recommendations

What you bring to the table:

  • A strong case study driven portfolio that demonstrates problem solving skills and high design caliber. You must provide a link to your portfolio (and password if applicable) to be considered for this role
  • Experience designing web-focused dashboards, permission systems, or alert management interfaces
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a product/UX designer in a relevant direct to consumer industry
  • Strong interaction and information architecture skills; able to simplify complexity through design
  • Solid proficiency in Figma for both UX and UI design tasks.
  • Fluency in the latest product design trends, tools and technology cross platform
  • Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional teams

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with enterprise tools in security, privacy, or mobile device management (MDM) is a strong plus
