We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Creative Engineer with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative digital and visual work. This role focuses on delivering high-impact, user-centered digital experiences that combine creativity with technical excellence. The ideal candidate will contribute to all phases of the creative and development process-from concept and ideation through to execution-across diverse digital platforms and media

Job details: 

• Location: 100% Remote – from Costa Rica
• Type of Contract: Full-time (Remote)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Costa Rica Time Zone).
• Language Proficiency: Spanish: Advanced / Intermediate to advanced English (required)
• Availability: Immediate start required
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain strong working relationships and excellent communication with partners.
• Perform advanced code reviews, develop, and adhere to coding standards.
• Promote team awareness and appropriate adoption of emerging technologies.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently handling complex digital production projects.
• Handle advanced, high-priority tasks, ensuring timely and accurate test results.
• Serve as a team leader, providing guidance and governance to other technology groups.
• Continuously improve existing processes, developing repeatable, scalable processes that help our organization prioritize, manage, and deliver on our project roadmap.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of all processes, including the creative process.
• Conduct research on new technologies and share insights with the team, staying up-to-date with recent design trends and new technologies.
• Report progress and challenges to senior leadership, including Lead, Principal, or Manager roles.
  

Required Academic Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Digital Media or related field preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Over 4 years of hands-on experience in UX architecture and development, demonstrating a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and information architecture.
• 4 years of experience working with animation technologies, including motion design and interactive elements.
• Experience in a creative agency environment is preferred, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep familiarity with the digital ecosystem, including integration with diverse backend platforms and architectures.
• Demonstrated track record as both a technical and creative team player, contributing to project success through collaboration and innovation.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Greensock, AngularJS), with strong skills in data structures and XML usage.
• Experience optimizing images and assets for HTML5 units, with advanced knowledge of Canvas, SVG, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Solid expertise in HTML4/5 and CSS2/3, complemented by average experience in web services, AJAX, and third-party API integration.
• Working knowledge of mobile web UI development best practices, with a focus on responsive and accessible design.
• Ability to document architectural solutions clearly and maintain comprehensive code documentation.
• Familiarity with automated user-experience testing and debugging methodologies.
• Strong skills in project estimation and scoping to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Basic understanding of 3D asset integration and experience with Adobe After Effects for motion design tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and technical details to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge on AR and visual scripting
• Basic experience in A-Frame, Three.js, or Babylon.js
• Basic knowledge of Unity
• Basic knowledge of WebGL
