Job description

A leading manufacturer in the power equipment industry is seeking an experienced Power Transformer Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth in the power transformer sector, manage client relationships, and expand market share in designated regions. This role requires technical knowledge of transformer products, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex industrial sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and target potential clients in industries such as power grids, renewable energy, industrial plants, and infrastructure projects
  • Conduct market research to analyze competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer needs
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue targets

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers including procurement managers and technical directors
  • Provide technical consultations to clients on product specifications, customization options, and compliance with industry standards (IEC, IEEE)
  • Address client inquiries, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely resolution of post-sales issues

Sales Process Execution

  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract signing, payment collection, and post-sales support
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery
  • Prepare and submit bids, proposals, and tender documents for large-scale projects

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor sales metrics, including pipeline growth, conversion rates, and regional market penetration
  • Provide regular updates to management on sales activities, challenges, and opportunities

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields

Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience in power equipment (transformers, switchgear, etc.) or related industries

Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in B2B environments

Skills: Strong technical understanding of transformer design, applications, and industry regulations

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

Travel: Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
