AU RTO Learner Support Officer

Background

At PeoplePartners, we don’t just believe in delivering education—we believe in empowering learners to thrive. Our team is passionate about guiding students through their journey with support that’s personal, impactful, and truly makes a difference.
As an RTO Learner Support Officer, you’re not just ticking boxes—you’re building futures. You’ll be the go-to for all things learner-related, providing academic and administrative support that keeps students moving forward. If you’re someone who loves helping people succeed and thrives in a people-first environment, you’ve found your tribe.

About the AU RTO Learner Support Officer Role

This is not your average admin job. As our Learner Support Officer, you are the heartbeat of our learner experience. You’ll be the friendly voice answering questions, the problem-solver removing roadblocks, and the organizer keeping everything on track.
You’ll be working with students to guide them through their courses, manage their enrollments, and ensure they have everything they need to excel. You’ll also handle key admin tasks like documentation, progress tracking, and enrolment processes—keeping it all running like clockwork.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Be the main point of contact for learners, offering support and answering questions with patience and clarity.
  • Manage learner enrollments, including processing applications and updating student records.
  • Monitor student progress and provide proactive support to ensure they stay on track.
  • Assist with course documentation, progression tracking, and report generation.
  • Help learners navigate academic challenges, providing guidance and solutions.
  • Work closely with trainers and staff to maintain seamless communication and support.
  • Ensure compliance with RTO standards in all learner interactions and documentation.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and CRM updates.

Requirements

About YOU
  • You’re a natural communicator who knows how to listen and solve problems with empathy and understanding.
  • You genuinely care about helping people succeed and aren’t afraid to go the extra mile to make it happen.
  • Organization is your superpower—you can juggle multiple tasks and never drop the ball.
  • You’re proactive; if you see an issue, you’re the first to jump in and sort it out.
  • You bring a positive attitude, energy, and a strong work ethic to everything you do.
  • People describe you as approachable, supportive, and detail-focused.
About YOUR Work History
  • You’ve had experience in administration or student support, ideally in the RTO or education sector.
  • You know your way around Microsoft Office, CRMs, and student management systems like Wisenet.
  • You’ve got experience keeping detailed records, managing student information, and handling confidential data responsibly.
  • You’re comfortable communicating with students, trainers, and stakeholders, both in person and online.
  • If you’ve navigated through Australian education compliance requirements, that’s a huge plus.
About the Culture YOU Thrive In
  • You’re someone who thrives in a smart, humble, people-first environment. You appreciate structure, but not micromanagement. You work hard, but know that a good sense of humor and a bit of laughter keeps things running smoothly.
  • You're a doer, but also a thinker—someone who enjoys the rhythm of getting stuff done while constantly improving the way it’s done. You’re open to feedback, allergic to ego, and deeply curious about the world around you.
Key Responsibilities YOU Can’t Wait to Do
  • Be the friendly voice that guides students through their journey.
  • Keep everything running smoothly—enrollments, documentation, and learner support.
  • Spot problems before they happen and get them sorted—fast.
  • Make a real impact on people’s lives by helping them achieve their education goals.
  • Be the go-to person for students and staff, solving problems with a smile.
How YOU Will Be Measured
  • Learner Satisfaction Scores – Positive feedback from students and staff.
  • Response Times – Quick and helpful responses to learner queries.
  • Compliance Accuracy – Maintaining up-to-date records and compliance standards.
  • Progress Tracking – Ensuring learners stay on track and meet their study goals.
  • Enrolment Efficiency – Smooth processing and documentation of student data.
When & Where YOU Will Work
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM AEST.
  • Location: Work from home (PH-based).
