Job Title: Recruitment Consultant – Civil Engineering (Remote)

Location: Fully Remote (Must be based in South Africa)

Working Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (SA Time) for the first 3 months, with flexible hours post-probation (40-hour work week, 1-hour lunch)

Our client is seeking a driven, relationship-first Recruitment Consultant – Civil Engineering to be their first hire in a fully remote role. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Source and engage top civil engineering talent across the US, with a focus on structural, geotechnical, water resources, and transportation sectors.

  • Use LinkedIn and social selling to expand your network and uncover passive candidates.

  • Run cold-calling campaigns with confidence and care—no scripts, just smart strategy.

  • Manage your candidate pipeline via HubSpot CRM, keeping your process sharp and scalable.

  • Qualify candidates thoroughly and support them through every step of the recruitment lifecycle—from initial contact to offer acceptance.

  • Guide candidates through interviews, negotiations, and onboarding like the expert you are.

  • Work closely with the leadership team to improve recruitment processes and influence hiring strategy.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of recruitment civil engineering recruitment experience (structural, technical, geotechnical, water resources, transportation within civil engineering)

  • Proven success in a 180 candidate-focused recruitment model.

  • Prior agency recruitment experience is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of LinkedIn networking and candidate engagement.

  • Confident cold caller with excellent communication skills.

  • Expert user of HubSpot CRM or similar systems.

  • Self-sufficient, process-driven, and highly organized.

  • Passionate about building long-term relationships with candidates.

  • Analytical mindset with an appreciation for AI-powered recruitment tools.

  • Stable work history with a track record of commitment and growth.

  • Honest, self-motivated, and eager to grow within a start-up environment.
