Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to set and achieve financial and accounting goals specific to Supply Chain accounting operations.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions related to supply chain operations, including imports, exports, and landed cost accounting.
  • Lead the standardization and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, and IT teams to identify areas for improvement and implement productivity-increasing projects.

Job description

Join Sol-Millennium’s forward-thinking business focused on enhancing supply chain accounting efficiency while ensuring financial accuracy. Our newly established Supply Chain Accountant role provides the opportunity to approve the accounting and prevent financial discrepancies and cash leakage. This position offers regular access to senior management and potential for long-term career growth within the company.


Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to set and achieve financial and accounting goals specific to Supply Chain accounting operations. Review and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions related to supply chain operations, including imports, exports, and landed cost accounting across North American entites (USA, Canada & Mexico)


Improving Controls, processes and practices

Lead the standardization and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls for improved accuracy and efficiency.


Colloboration 

Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, and IT teams to identify areas for improvement and implement productivity-increasing projects.


Risk Management

Strong problem-solving capabilities and initiative in risk identification and mitigation.


Compliance

Ensure that the organization remains compliant with all federal, state, and local accounting/finance/ taxation/ legal requirements.


Additional responsibilities that arise

Show initiative and/or follow instructions from Finance Leadership regarding tasks and projects that extend beyond official duties and may come up as circumstances change.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.

5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus on supply chain or logistics.

Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions.
