Job description

Everbridge: a fast-growing global provider of SaaS-based critical communications and enterprise safety solutions, is actively seeking a Sr Deal Management Specialist to join our team.  

As a Sr. Deal Management Specialist, you will be a critical bridge between Sales, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams, ensuring deals are structured to meet business objectives while delivering exceptional customer value. You will manage the entire deal lifecycle, from deal structuring and pricing to contract management and order processing, while ensuring compliance with company policies and revenue recognition principles. Your role will also include driving process improvements, analyzing deal performance, and supporting revenue processes. 

What you'll do:
  • Deal Support and Structuring: 
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to review and analyze complex deals, ensuring they comply with company policies, pricing guidelines, and revenue recognition principles. 
  • Assist in structuring and pricing deals to optimize profitability and drive customer value. 

  • Contract Review and Negotiation: 
  • Review customer contracts, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and working with Legal to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual requirements. 
  • Support Sales in contract negotiations, providing insights and recommendations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. 

  • Order Processing/Contract Management: 
  • Review and process incoming orders, ensuring all details are complete and adhere to company policies. 
  • Process orders in CRM (Salesforce) ensuring proper compliance with financial and operation standards 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and other departments, fostering effective communication and alignment on deal-related matters. 
  • Work Salesforce cases submitted by other departments which may include but not limited to request for quoting assistance and customer cancellations. 
  • Participate in deal review meetings and provide valuable insights to cross-functional stakeholders. 

  • Process Improvement and Optimization: 
  • Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience. 
  • Participate in requirements gathering and lead user acceptance testing for system improvements. 

  • Team Leadership:
  • Provide guidance to fellow Deal Management team members across all job functions. 
  • Monitor team workloads across various responsibilities and help shift resources as needed to meet deadlines. 
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of work delivered by the Deal Management team. 
  • Assist management in documentation, training and enforcement as processes evolve.  
  • Work on Ad Hoc projects as requested by management.

  • What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years of experience in deal desk, order management, or related roles within the technology industry. 
  • Strong understanding of SaaS sales processes, contract terms, and revenue recognition principles. 
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex deals, pricing models, and financial metrics. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in dealing with financial data and contracts. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Self-starter with ability to take initiative and strive under limited supervision. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools. 
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. 
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is a plus. 
  • The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $75,000 - $92,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
