Compensation: The full salary range for this position is $106,000 - $160,335 annually. This range represents the full earning potential for the role, including opportunities for salary growth over time based on performance, tenure, and organizational budget. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $106,000 - $139,825. Teaching Lab will generally cap salaries for new employees at 105% of the midpoint of the full salary range ($139,825) to allow for continued growth in the role over time. There are two types of experience being considered for this role: Experience that is directly relevant to the role and Total Working Experience, in all fields. This includes: internships, part-time work, and consulting work. In collaboration with the hiring manager, the People and Culture team calculates experience based on the candidate’s most current resume. When calculating the offer, consideration is given to candidates who possess additional qualifications (i.e., desired qualifications).

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Director of Strategic Partnerships plays a critical role at Teaching Lab by bridging external business development with internal programmatic execution. This leader is responsible for cultivating and sustaining high-impact relationships with district, state, and school partners, while serving as a key integrator between the Strategic Growth and Program teams. The Director is instrumental in retaining and renewing partnerships, ensuring that every partner experience meets Teaching Lab’s standards of excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary responsibilities for the Director, Strategic Partnerships include:
Partnership Management: Ensure strong, sustained relationships with existing partners to maximize impact and satisfactionServe as a key relationship manager for district, state, and school system partners—including superintendents, CAOs, and curriculum leaders—supporting Project Sponsors and Project Leads as neededMonitor partnership health through regular check-ins with Project Sponsors and Project Leads, feedback loops, and data-informed insights to ensure high satisfactionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot challenges and ensure consistent, high-quality service deliveryLead the transition from initial engagement to implementation by coordinating with Strategic Growth and Program teams to maintain continuity and clear communicationOversee the renewal process for key partnerships, helping teams identify opportunities to expand impact and sustain long-term collaborationPartner with project leaders to proactively address implementation or relationship challenges, ensuring strong alignment across teams
Strategic Partnership Development: Drive organizational growth by identifying and securing new strategic partnershipsIdentify and cultivate new partnership opportunities that advance Teaching Lab’s mission and strategic prioritiesCollaborate with Program, Marketing, and Finance teams to create tailored proposals that reflect both partner needs and Teaching Lab’s service modelSupport RFP responses and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with both programmatic and financial goalsFacilitate seamless transitions from business development to implementation, ensuring teams are prepared, deliverables are clear, and resources are effectively mobilizedBuild and sustain high-trust relationships with senior school system leaders to deepen understanding of Teaching Lab’s research-based professional learning modelProvide senior leadership with insights and recommendations based on partner feedback, implementation trends, and business development dataServe as a content or regional expert aligned to strategic priorities (e.g., subject-area, instructional coaching, leadership development, or geographic focus like Texas or California), and support internal capacity-building in those areas
