Job Details

Join a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organization dedicated to improving lives. At Cencora, we value innovation, customer satisfaction, and teamwork. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to support our valued customers in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Training: 4-week program (8 AM - 5 PM CST) 

Shift: Mon-Thurs (10 AM - 6:30 PM) & Fri (9:30 AM - 6 PM CST) 

Location: Fully Remote (US Based)

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Update existing customers on programs, promotions, products, and services, addressing inquiries and unresolved issues.

  • Assist with customer problems, such as missed shipments, price adjustments, and backorders, striving for prompt resolution.

  • Collaborate with field sales associates on special orders, quotations, and manufacturer communications.

  • Ensure smooth order processing by coordinating with warehouse associates and customers.

  • Process all customer orders received via phone, fax, mail, email, and verbally.

  • Provide accurate answers to customer questions and complaints; escalate to Customer Service Supervisor as necessary.

  • Perform data entry for order processing, accessing previous orders, and providing current pricing.

  • Offer substitutions for backorders and maintain open order reports.

  • Communicate effectively with all departments within the Distribution Center and field sales associates.

  • Serve as a liaison between customers and field sales associates, making suggestions for service improvement.

  • Comply with all policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency orders after one year of service.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Sales, Marketing, Computer Sciences, or a similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Less than one (1) year of directly related experience is preferred.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Quick and creative problem-solving skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical distribution operations and products.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management systems.

Salary Range*

$32,300 - 47,740

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
