Senior Director of National Accounts, Neuro

The Senior Director of National Accounts will create and execute on successful sales strategies and build relationships with key clinical, administrative and economic decision makers within targeted GPOs, IDNs, ACOs and Managed Care organizations.  Responsibilities include implementing a plan to maximize Biotronik revenue in targeted accounts and addressing needs of the account via Biotronik product portfolio and clinical and economic impact of the product portfolio. Primary calls points will be GPO leadership and Hospital Executive Management to include C-suite, Pain Management and Neurosurgery  service line chiefs, key opinion leaders and traditional supply chain and materials management executives.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage key executives and representatives of assigned National GPOs and IDNs
  • Identify and engage key representatives of third-party organizations including payers, managed care organizations, ACOs and self-insured employers
  • Develop, implement and manage programs involving Biotronik products intended to address clinical and economic needs of the stakeholders described above
  • Facilitation  and management of all contract negotiations with identified stakeholders
  • Review market analysis to determine current volume potentials, price schedules and discount rates and then use information to develop sales strategies to accommodate the goals of the company
  • Be an expert and guide prioritization and messaging of health care economics to field
  • Partner with cross functional team to include local sales team, marketing, product management and contract operations on strategy development including identifying and prioritizing strategic gaps, evaluating partnership options and collaborating on stakeholder engagement priorities
  • Develop strong working relationships with key influencers within and outside the company
  • Track and monitor progress of signed contracts, projects and manage compliance of agreements
  • Deliver a positive and professional corporate image through professional and effective customer interactions  such as delivery of appropriate business plans and other customer facing presentations highlighting clinical and economic value of Biotronik products

 

Your Profile

  • A minimum of 10 years of medical device industry experience is required.
  • 5-year minimum experience working with GPO/IDN/Corporate Accounts is preferred.
  • Neuromodulation experience preferred.
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree (MBA is preferred)
  • Experience working with GPOs, IDNs and third-party organizations including payers, managed care organizations, ACOs and self-insured employers
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and show flexibility in a dynamic environment
  • Must have high degree of initiative, motivation and passion for the business
  • Must be able to direct without having direct line of command over field employees
  • Must be able to work in a diverse cross functional team environment
  • Advanced computer skills to include MS office
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding, and experience of GPOs and IDNs related to medical device sales.
  • Established success and positive senior level relationships resulting from  neuromodulation medical device sales or consultation within healthcare C-suite and key administrator functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather deep understanding of customer needs and develop sound strategies and solutions; Expertise in organizational analysis and project management.
  • Proven success in selling value-based solutions and providing consultation services in anticipation of customer needs and corporate objectives.
  • Exhibits strong, executive level business acumen and has the ability to recognize key decision drivers for the customer and successfully negotiate value-based solutions.
  • Solid history of strategy development, execution planning, and cross-functional organization to ensure successful deployment and pull-through across the organization and customer dynamic; Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, problem-solving ability, and influential leadership across all levels of any organization, and primarily senior executive level.
  • Ability to influence others and build positive relationships through effective management styles; Proven track record in team building and leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • At least 10 years of sales management within the physician preference medical device industry
  • Minimum 5 years in the medical device industry within high-profile account sales or consultant experience with physician preference products in a health system environment.
  • Expert level product and account knowledge as well as strong knowledge base of competitive offerings; Complete and thorough knowledge of BIOTRONIK and Neuro’s competitor's products.
  • Mastery and understanding of reimbursement, ACOS and various payment models.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 70% + as required.
