The Director Global Marketing and Product Management will oversee a Marketing team that develops, implements, and manages marketing tools and schedule that meet the needs of the AMETEK LMS business. This role is also responsible for a team of Product Managers that manage and drive product roadmaps from all phases of their lifecycles, including concept, ROI and business case development and product design requirements through product launch and end of life planning. This individual will establish relationships with both external suppliers and cross-functional teams by working collaboratively to deploy creative and industry leading solutions.
In this role you will:
- Conduct assessments within the context of the competitive landscape and customer needs (current and future).
- Conduct and manage market-driven feedback to develop clear customer/market requirements.
- Participate in annual strategic planning process and translate those goals into 3-5 year product roadmaps.
- Encourage innovation and adoption of key technologies to stay market leading.
- Manage technology transition and roadmap navigation guidance: gather relevant fact points and develop prescriptive recommendations for the various customer usage models and business segments.
- Manage a team of product managers that oversee the entire product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Develop a marketing strategy that supports all product lines.
- Train, coach, and motivate all team members to contribute to the profitability growth objectives.
- Partner with peer functions (Sales, Service, Operations, Finance and Engineering) to achieve profitable sales and best in class technical service team.
Requirements for the role include:
- Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred); MBA preferred
- Minimum Years of Work Experience: 10 years
- Experience with developing and holding people accountable
- Knowledgeable in software applications, SaaS solutions and Agile development practices.
- Possess a big-picture vision and have the ability to drive and make a product vision a reality
- Proven experience writing product requirements documents, building business cases, presentations, negotiating (internal and external)
- Highly skilled written and verbal communicator; able to lead discussions at all business levels and functions
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship building skills are a must
- Ability to travel at least 65%
