Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM Houston, TX
  • Includes 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

  • Manage the clinic’s appointment schedule efficiently, including booking new appointments, rescheduling existing ones, and identifying patients who need to be rescheduled
  • Provide empathetic and knowledgeable responses to patient inquiries, demonstrating understanding of pain management terminology and procedures
  • Collaborate closely with clinic staff to optimize patient flow and communication, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and healthcare providers
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and coordinating with other healthcare providers
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and data management
  • Adapt quickly to clinic-specific protocols and procedures, continuously improving your knowledge of pain management practices
Requirements
  • 3+ years of previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role, preferably in a pain management or specialized medical setting
  • High school diploma required; additional certifications or education in healthcare administration are a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a focus on clear, empathetic patient interactions
  • TYPING SPEED MUST BE OVER 55 WPM
  • Proficiency in using virtual phone systems, electronic medical records, and basic computer applications
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology, particularly related to pain management and interventional procedures
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced virtual environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality and thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong connections with the clinic team
