Job Description:

Financial Management & Accounting

  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Fixed Asset Register, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions in compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and board reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Manage the transaction processing system and liaise with group finance to consolidate financial results.
  • Implement and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a strong control environment.

Regulatory Compliance & Audits

  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including:
    • Quarterly VAT returns
    • Payroll tax and pension processing
    • Annual P11D & PSA submissions
    • R&D relief claims
    • S455 corporation tax submissions
    • Ensure all relevant documents are filed with Companies House on time.
    • Lead the audit process, serving as the primary contact for auditors during both half-year and full-year audits.

Strategic Financial Planning & Risk Management

  • Review and optimise company insurance contracts to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage cash flow, debt, and debt collection processes efficiently.
  • Ensure financial risk management practices are in place to safeguard company assets.

Payroll & Employee Benefits

  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate HMRC payments.
  • Manage pension contributions and provide employee education on pension schemes.
