Procurement Specialist - Midlevel ( Pleno)

Main tasks of the position

●Operational and Tactical Procurement Activities

○ Supporting the effective procurement of products and services in a timely and efficient manner

○ Maintaining master data: materials, suppliers, and workflows

○ Supporting the Procurement organization to ensure that all relevant documentation is complete and available in SAP (for example RFP, scoring tools and results, Signature Sheets, Contracts, SoWs)

○ Providing operational procurement support as assigned

○ Working with team members and business partners to mitigate any Procurement and/or business issues and help achieve agreed business goals

○ Executing operational procurement activities in line with a responsible Procurement approach while using tools, processes, policy setting, and enforcement in alignment with DOP business processes

○ Contributing that established targets and metrics on customer service are delivered. Track and monitor these metrics where required, and escalate issues as they arise

○ Supporting the optimization of processes to increase quality and efficiency standards

○ Identification of new opportunities to increase efficiency

○ Work closely and in a consulting manner with operational colleagues across all sides and affiliates

Qualifications of the position

Education / Experience:

○ Relevant university business degree

○ 5+ years experience in operational/tactical Procurement processes

○ Experience with enterprise systems and procure to-pay tools and eSourcing tools; skilled in the Google tool suite

○ Competence or fluency in other foreign languages (German) strongly desired

○ Life science experience is desirable

○ Experience from working in a multicultural, virtual setting

○ Fluent in English written and verbal, additional languages are a further advantage ● Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

○ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain networks

○ Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders both verbally and in writing

○ Self-driven personality with a continuous improvement mindset

○ Ability to develop innovative ideas.

Summary of the position:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the execution of sourcing support and purchasing support activities. The role is responsible for executing operational and transactional activities to meet business and/or project objectives in a compliant manner.

The Procurement Specialist has knowledge of business enterprise tools (e.g. SAP) and the overall procurement process/methodology, such as documenting requirements, conducting analysis and negotiations, the purchase-to-pay process and communicating with stakeholders and suppliers.

By efficiently and effectively supporting the procurement process end-to-end and providing high levels of internal customer service, the Procurement Specialist ensures that stakeholder expectations are satisfied.
