Job Title: Claims Handler : RTA/EL/PL
Location: South East London (Hybrid : 2 days in:office, 3 days WFH)
Salary: Up to GBP 30,000 (depending on experience)
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Claims Handler to join a dynamic team. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone with a strong background in handling Employers' Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a varied caseload from initial instruction through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities
Handle EL, PL and RTA claims efficiently and independently
Assess liability and quantum, and negotiate settlements where appropriate
Liaise with clients, insurers, solicitors and third parties
Maintain accurate file records in line with internal procedures and compliance requirements
Ensure cases are progressed in accordance with Pre:Action Protocols, CPR, Practice Directions, and relevant statute and case law
Provide clear advice and updates to clients throughout the claims process
The Candidate
Previous experience handling RTA / EL / PL claims is essential, ideally within an insurance company or law firm. You must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of relevant legal procedures, protocols and case law and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will be well:organised with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently. This role may suit an experienced Paralegal with a claims background
