Your role in our mission
Testing Analysis areas
Identifies scope of testing for assigned integration enhancements to ensure quality, mitigate risks and reduce operational disruption of issues related to member access to care, provider payment and federal reporting.
- Determines if UAT, Regression or End to End testing is necessary to validate requirements and quality.
- Determines if Health Plans need to perform testing and the scope of their testing.
- Determines if other Department staff need to perform testing and the scope of their testing.
- Determines the high-level testing scenarios needed to validate requirements and quality.
- Works with Project PMs, BAs and other Testing Teams to finalize scope of testing and approve high-level scenarios.
Develops a Test Plan
- Ensures test plan can be completed on schedule
- Communicates any risks to completing testing on time to Project BAs and PMs.
- Identifies dependencies, risks and constraints to completing test execution.
- Incorporates opportunities for scope change into test plan.

Writes test cases
- Clearly documents each step the tester will take to complete validation.
- Identifies testing data needs to be able to prepare the module testing environments for validation.
- Collaborates with module vendors to incorporate testing data needs into the test plan and test execution schedule.
- Advocates for any training needed to deliver quality assurance through test execution.
Executes test cases
- Documents each test execution step with written outcome and screenshots.
- Identifies any potential issues and communicates issues for research to BAs and Vendors.
- Writes any additional test cases to perform remediation testing if needed.
- Clearly identifies the status of any test case, the overall status of project testing and escalates any issues that are blocking testing from being completed.
Production Research and Support
- Performs and documents research and analysis for reported issues.
- Identifies requirements and policies that are or are not being met and documents traceability.
- Works with Department BAs and Systems Supervisors to review research and analysis of reported issues.
- Escalates compliance issues that can result in federal audits and disallowance.
- Identifies operational impacts to users, members, providers and production support teams to determine the severity of the verified issue.
- Identifies workarounds to maintain operations and compliance while verified issues are being resolved.
- Prepares test plan for validation of issue resolution.
- Tracks and traces the resolution of verified issues to ensure readiness and timeliness of testing.
- Writes and executes test cases for issue resolution.
- Communicates verified production issues, resolution milestones, operations impacts and workarounds as requested by supervisor
What we're looking for
- 6 or more years of Business Analyst / Tester experience in a relevant Healthcare environment with 3 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred
- Expertise in analyzing requirements to develop comprehensive testing strategies, designing and executing detailed test cases, and identifying, analyzing, and resolving defects through root cause analysis.
- Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing), Regression and End to End Testing essential to validate requirements.
- Advanced knowledge in analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or SQL and other requirement-mapping tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools and Jira tools
- Familiarity of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing
- Strong client communication skills translating client needs to actionable objectives
What you should expect in this role
- Fully remote options from Continental US locations only.
- Office hours are 8am-5pm mountain time.
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $69,400 - $99,200 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
