Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Corporate Communications Coordinator is an important member of the Marketing and Corporate Communications team and will help support both internal and external communication efforts for the company.

This position is one where an ideal candidate has experience in virtual event management including using platforms like Teams LIVE or other virtual broadcast events and can be a key partner in supporting the production of enterprise events. This may include but not be limited to enterprise town hall events, external facing webinars, and other broadcast events.

The Corporate Communication Coordinator must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while having the proficiency to shift priorities based on team and company priorities. We’re looking for a passionate, talented producer and storyteller with strong attention to detail who wants to help find and tell stories across the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Experience producing broadcast-level events and shows using tools like Microsoft Teams, Vimeo or Zoom with multiple speakers.
  • Strong writing and content development skills that showcase creativity and new ways of communicating to stakeholders.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the usage of internal communication channels including but not limited to SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365, WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and positive attitude to take on any task (big or small).
  • Helping to add content to the company’s strategic editorial calendar across both internal and external channels
  • Knowledge and experience working managing and posting content to social media channels.
  • Being a collaborator who can work across teams, deliver quick results, and bring a “whatever it takes” attitude to work every day.
  • Assisting in monthly metric reporting, as well as ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, Broadcast or Public Relations preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a communication, broadcast production, social media management or internal communications.
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with direction but under minimal supervision.
  • Technology savvy and proficient in most office software systems, including Microsoft Office, WordPress, and social media reporting and publishing platforms like Hootsuite.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and a team player who is willing to learn new processes quickly and bring innovative new ways to solve them.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible with projects and working hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in an agency or corporate communication environment
  • Multi-media, video development, and production experience.

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
