Job description

Accounting/Finance - Accountant
12 months plus extensions
Location: fully remote

Job Description: As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be a key member of the Fixed Asset Accounting team, and will be focused on the company's infrastructure fixed assets and finance leases. You will collaborate closely with many key business partners and teams within and outside of the Finance organization, and we are looking for someone who will dive into the details and work to maintain accurate and complete fixed asset records at scale. Other areas you may focus on include operating leases and subleases.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the infrastructure fixed asset and finance lease portfolio, from the full-cycle accounting close and analysis process through internal and external reporting processes each quarter
- Work cross-functionally with key members of Accounting, Finance and Infrastructure Operations teams to manage day-to-day tasks and larger projects
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for fixed assets and related areas, including operating leases
- Manage the flow of data through Oracle
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Gather schedules for external auditors for the financial statement audit process
- Create reports and analyses for management review
- Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements
- Proven track record in accounting with full-cycle monthly close processes and reconciliation preparation (4-5 years of experience)
- Experience with accounting for fixed assets and leases, and a deep understanding of US GAAP
- Problem solver with strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset
- Effective communicator who is comfortable using a multiple mediums to collaborate
- Detail-oriented team player with good organizational skills, who is motivated to succeed in a remote environment
- Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
- Proficiency in Excel is mandatory; experience in the tech industry and familiarity with ASC 842 Accounting, Oracle Cloud, and Alteryx is a plus
Comments for Suppliers: We are open to all Zone 3 regions of the US to find the right candidate. I had to specify one region as a required field but this person is fully remote. Accounting team members are located in SF Bay, California and Dublin, Ireland.
