The Director, Strategic Account Management manages their own assigned accounts, as well as oversees the success of their assigned team and their accounts, and the continuous improvement of team performance, best practices and measurements. The Director, Strategic Account Management is responsible for leading the team in managing major existing accounts, cultivating ongoing relationships, expanding relationships, defining and executing accounts strategy, maximization of solutions’ value, uncovering sales opportunities. The Director ensures that their team is operating as the face of Socure throughout the post-sales customer journey - from onboarding to implementation to renewal. They manage the team in creating and implementing strategic account plans, focused on enterprise-wide deployments of products and services.
Role and Responsibilities
Leads, measures, coaches and develops a Strategic Account Management team
Grows assigned accounts’ revenue and uncovers sales opportunities
Develops and Implements Account Management practices and tools
Reports to Management on major activities, wins and risks within the self-assigned and team-assigned accounts
Responsible for the strategy per account and cross accounts
Builds direct relationships with strategic clients at expanded level (horizontally and vertically)
Brings the voice of the customer internally to support the organization with prioritization and roadmap
Works in a cross-functional model to ensure best of class service to customers and continuous improvement in efficiency
Required Qualifications
At least 10+ years experience as an Strategic Account Manager/Customer Success Manager/Customer Relationship Manager
Aptitude to lead an Strategic Account Management Team, including hiring top talent and team development
Experience in developing and implementing Account Management best practices, procedures and tools
Critical thinking and strategic view skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to contribute to evolving needs, structuring and planning
Outstanding negotiation, challenger selling and consultative sales skills
Demonstrated experience accessing enterprise-level engagements dealing with complex sales cycles
Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to negotiate resources and priorities with multiple stakeholders in order to drive business results
Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
Proficiency with SalesForce or other CRM software
Prior experience as a Sales Development Representative or Account Executive with a track record of achieving sales quotes with SaaS related products
Prior experience in the financial services
Excited by the challenges of a fast-paced, mission-driven company set on disrupting the identity verification industry
Comfort with up to 50% travel—this is a remote role, with travel as required
Salary Disclosure:
Base Salary range: $160,000-180,000
This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus. This position is eligible for a generous sales incentive bonus.
