Position Summary
The position requires a working knowledge of Epic products, knowledge of healthcare operations in a clinical setting and/or patient accounting, superior customer service skills as well as the willingness and ability to function as part of a dynamic team. The Training Analyst will develop curriculum, lesson plans, test data for his/her respective application and be responsible for participating in the design, build and validation of both the application and the training environments used for in-class training. Responsible for presenting education programs for new and/or existing system applications to end-users of Epic systems.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides training for new and existing Epic applications for approximately 3,000 end-users of the applications at the School of Medicine.
  • Provides proficiency training for other key leaders and physicians who require knowledge of EPIC.
  • Incorporates appropriate adult learning techniques, creativity along with internal and external best practices to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Pilots' new courses in their development stages, collecting feedback to strengthen the course development program and delivers training to co-workers, physicians and leadership audiences with confidence, preparedness and polished presentation skills
  • Develops curriculum (including practice exercises and assessments) and building training "test" environments for the implementation of new applications.
  • Develops curriculum as a result of participating in design, build and validate sessions with FPP Information Systems.
  • Takes a leadership role in the promotion of system initiatives
  • Researches and contributes to the design, development and revision of course materials.
  • Provides significant input to the maintenance of current training programs.
  • Updates existing course materials/job aids and creating new course material/job aids 10%.
  • Builds partnerships and networks across the School of Medicine by acting as a liaison between clinical departments and Physicians Billing Service (PBS).
  • Provides consulting service with regards to developing office procedures, policies and set-up.
  • Develops and delivers training solutions based on findings, designed to maximize the business performance of departments
  • Reads assigned books, articles and other materials related to training and development.
  • Attends designated courses in order to keep abreast of adult learning practices and best practices in training and development

Salary Range
$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
