 Overview:

Welcome to the Global Product and Tech: CISO team at LivePerson! We are a global security team of 20 professionals located across North America and EMEA. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to contribute to shaping security initiatives and driving innovation.

You will: 

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing international SecOps team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Define team goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the overall security strategy and risk focus areas established by the CISO.
  • Allocate resources and oversee execution to ensure optimal team performance and project completion.
  • Mentor team members on secure engineering principles, best practices, and internal career growth pathways.
  • Leverage extensive domain knowledge and experience to ensure successful delivery of commitments inclusive of guiding teams, and unblock and preemping problems.

Security Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including monitoring security alerts, analyzing potential threats, and coordinating incident response and remediation activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in the SecOps domain in partnership with the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team.
  • Manage and optimize security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, SOAR, CSPM, CWP, FIM, vulnerability scanners, threat intelligence, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, coordinate on penetration testing efforts, and manage remediation efforts.
  • Support audits internal and external audits through evidence of controls and representation of capabilities via interviews
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks, and lead incident response exercises.

Security Engineering: 

  • Oversee and approve  secure cloud architectures and configurations (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) .
  • Automate security tasks and processes using scripting and automation tools.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business, inclusive of regular touchpoints to validate remediations
  • Provide guidance to other departments regarding security best practices and guidelines

You have:

  • 7 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security operations and engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role within a security team.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., CSPM, CWP, EPP/EDR, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (IaC), and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • This job includes being part of an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • Critical thinking abilities are necessary.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • You should be able to multitask, manage team tasks and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is important.

Benefits: 

The salary range for this role will be between $140,000 to $165,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications. During the phone screening, your recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role.
