Job description

Vālenz® Health is the platform to simplify healthcare – the destination for employers, payers, providers and members to reduce costs, improve quality, and elevate the healthcare experience. The Valenz mindset and culture of innovation combine to create a distinctly different approach to an inefficient, uninspired health system. With fully integrated solutions, Valenz engages early and often to execute across the entire patient journey – from care navigation and management to payment integrity, plan performance and provider verification. With a 99% client retention rate, we elevate expectations to a new level of efficiency, effectiveness and transparency where smarter, better, faster healthcare is possible.

About This Opportunity:
As a Junior Data Analyst, you'll help keep our data processes running smoothly and support the team in staying organized and efficient. This includes updating Machine-Readable Files (MRF), managing Trello boards, keeping our team playbooks up to date, and handling user requests. You'll also be the go-to person for operational questions across different communication channels, making sure everything stays on track and nothing falls through the cracks.

Things You’ll Do Here:
  • Regularly update and maintain Machine-Readable Files (MRF) to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the Trello board related to MRF updates, tracking progress and coordinating with team members.
  • Create and update team playbooks to document workflows, processes, and best practices for efficiency improvements.
  • Submit and track user requests via the SRE Teams Channel, ensuring issues are logged and resolved promptly.
  • Attend regular team meetings via Microsoft Teams, providing updates on assigned tasks and participating in discussions.
  • Monitor and respond to Operations-related questions via Outlook, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and other stakeholders to streamline data operations processes.
  • Assist in data-related documentation and process improvements to support team efficiency.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • One (1) or more years of experience in data operations, analytics, or administrative support in a data-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data management tools.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Teams for communication, meetings, and task coordination.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries clearly and professionally.
A plus if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience using Trello or similar project management tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing basic data analysis.
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying and data manipulation.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Databricks).
  • Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, finance, or other data-intensive industries.

Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position, and we’ll provide all the necessary equipment!
  • Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions.
  • Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
  • Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software.
  • Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
