If you thrive on precision, love building scalable systems and teams, and get energized by driving strategy, we’ve got the role for you. We’re on the hunt for a standout Controller—someone who knows their GAAP from their cash flows, loves getting into the weeds of payroll, revenue recognition, and close cycles, but is also hungry to roll up their sleeves on FP&A, forecasting, P&L ownership, and M&A modeling. This isn’t a “stay in your lane” kind of role—it’s built for someone ready to grow into a CFO. Beyond the resume, we want to work with a great human-being. Someone who’s smart but humble, curious, collaborative, and just plain fun to be around. More than anything, we want someone who lifts the team and everyone around them. If you’re the kind of person who thrives on driving your team to make a lasting impact our company’s success—read on.
ABOUT US We’re Dental Intelligence—the #1 SaaS analytics, patient engagement, and workflow platform for dental practices. Since launching in 2015, we’ve been helping over 10,000 practices practice smarter—not harder. Our tech doesn’t just streamline operations; it boosts dentist’s take-home pay by over $200,000 (on average!) in the first year. From smart scheduling to paperless forms to intuitive growth tools like Morning Huddle and custom 2-year plans, we’ve got practices covered. And we’re just getting started.
OUTCOMES YOU’LL OWN As our Controller, you’ll play a central role in keeping our financial engine running smoothly—and with precision. Here’s what you and your team will be responsible for:
Own all core accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, benefits, revenue, and cash flow management.
Drive automation and efficiency in the month-end close process by architecting a top-tier tech stack—ERP, billing, AP systems, and more.
Oversee revenue operations, ensuring full ASC 606 compliance across subscription and payments products, including deferred revenue tracking and system integrations.
Manage the accounting for acquisitions and consolidations—think purchase accounting, intercompany eliminations, and multi-entity reporting.
Take charge of all corporate tax compliance—income, sales/use, gross receipts, and other regulatory filings (domestic and international).
Partner with FP&A to build out forward-looking financial models, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and balance sheet planning.
Develop and enforce strong internal controls. Be audit-ready and prepared for M&A due diligence at any moment.
Identify opportunities for financial and operational efficiency—and lead the implementation of scalable, business-enhancing processes.
Build and mentor a lean, high-performing team of accountants and billing specialists.
And of course—jump in where needed to support the evolving needs of a fast-paced business.
