IT Cloud Engineer

Your Role At A Glance

Cloud Engineer will be responsible for design, development, and maintain scalable cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role requires hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization of applications and cloud security best practices. Being the bridge between IT and DevSecOps, this role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of our cloud-based systems.

How You’ll Drive Success

Cloud Infrastructure Design And Implementation

• Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable. 
• Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards are met within cloud environments.

Cloud Deployment And Automation

• Manage and automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to implement DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Performance Monitoring And Optimization

• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud resources and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.

Continuous Learning And Miscellaneous Duties

• Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in cloud computing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Talents We’re Seeking

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent. 
• Azure Administrator Associate Certification or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role

Other Required Skills And Expectations

• Proficiency with Azure Cloud Services. 
• Strong experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). 
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts. 
• Proven hands-on experience with Information Technology systems. 
• Knowledge of cloud best practices. 
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, paying close attention to details.  
• Personable, professional, and customer-centric individual who takes ownership/pride in customer experience. 
• Strong ability to design and implement large-scale projects. 
• Proven ability to work independently, with self-direction, to complete tasks and projects in a pro-active manner. 
• Ability to work remotely with other team members.   
• Team player who can clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers. 
• A track record of delivering well-designed, high-quality deliverables. 
• Above average communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide accurate and timely information in a succinct and easy to understand manner. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as calculator, telephone systems, company network and familiarity with CRM tools. 
• Proven time management skills and a track record of working in a team environment successfully supporting others. 
• Well-organized, attention to detail and able to multi-task. 
• Problem solving and analysis skills.
