What You'll Do
As a
Program Manager for People Technology, you will guide strategic plans that enhance Avalara's Workday ecosystem and HR technology landscape. You will work remote out of the US, reporting directly to the VP of People Technology.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
Your daily work will involve leading project planning, managing dependencies, and overseeing budgets while ensuring seamless collaboration across People, IT, and partners.
- You'll develop clear documentation, create strategic communications, and promote change management to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
- You are proficient in Workday, ServiceNow, financial management, and tools like PowerPoint, SmartSheets and Lucid Charts will be essential to success in this role.
- You have experience in project management, budgeting, roadmap planning, and external communication, ensuring seamless execution of programs.
- You will lead collaboration, develop documentation, and implement scalable processes that increase efficiency and user experience.
- You will manage complex projects from end to end, influence decision-making, and help grow People Technology solutions.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Workday Full-Suite ERP Experience: 5+ years of experience implementing and optimizing in a complex organizations.
- Project Management Experience: 7+ years of project management experience, including leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of People Technology systems, including Workday and ServiceNow
- Financial Knowledge: Understanding of finance and accounting principles related to project and department budgets, purchasing, and financial analysis.
- Tools Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Smartsheet, ServiceNow, Workday, and Lucid Charts for project planning and communication.
- Collaboration & Communication: An ability to work with partners at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
