We have an exciting opportunity seeking a Senior Business Analyst which will sit within the Ascenian business, a Clinigen Company. Ascenian is a global research and consulting partnership that helps life sciences companies worldwide to develop, capture, and communicate the clinical and economic evidence required to demonstrate the value of new treatments to health technology assessment (HTA) agencies and payers.

Our services leverage a combination of capabilities in clinical knowledge, HTA and payer process and methodology, business and strategy, price and reimbursement and health economics and real-world evidence.

As our newly appointed Senior Business Analyst you will operate within the Global Market Access Consulting practice providing clients with strategic recommendations on how best to move products through their pipelines.

The practice has one of the best available networks of approximately 700 high level payers and advisers covering 45 markets and has completed over 45 global projects during the 5 years since its inception.

Role and Responsibilities:

You will form part of our Pricing, Reimbursement and HEOR team and play a pivotal role in supporting the project leader with specific project tasks, for example recruitment or presentation framework development. Additionally, you will be a key implementer on all phases of project delivery, project management, contributing to developing discussion guides, undertaking qualitative interviews, analysis of results and supporting the presentation of final results.

You will also:

  • Manage projects and identify key critical project milestones
  • Conduct interviews and secondary research
  • Organise and recruit payer decision-makers
  • Liaise with payer decision makers to find an acceptable time for interview
  • Conduct and support literature review if necessary and where appropriate
  • Keep project team members up to date on all assigned tasks
  • Update clients on the progress of interview programs
  • Take minutes during client meetings
  • Contribute to proposal development by independently writing a section in the proposal
  • Contribute to the preparation of slides for orientation and mobilisation meetings
  • Development of sections of a discussion guide and final presentation
  • Present part of the final presentation to clients
  • Train new staff on database development
  • Develop case studies
  • Present at informal training sessions
  • Identify and recruit new payers to join our available pool of market access decision makers
  • Input into analysis and development of presentations

Requirements

  • Masters or PhD within a relevant discipline (science, economics, health policy).
  • Some experience in market access or have knowledge of & proven desire to work in this area
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Experience and comfortable working in a hybrid setting and engaging with remote teams
  • Good presentation skills
  • Well organised and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanour and confidence to interact professionally with client base.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
