Job description

About the Internet Society

The Internet Society (ISOC) supports and promotes the development of the Internet as a global technical infrastructure, a resource to enrich people’s lives, and a force for good in society. Our work aligns with our goals for the Internet to be open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy. We seek collaboration with all who share these goals.

Together, we focus on building and supporting the communities that make the Internet work; advancing the development and application of Internet infrastructure, technologies, and open standards; and advocating for policy that is consistent with our view of the Internet.

About the Position

As Community Engagement Manager for the European Region, you will be responsible for engaging and mobilizing our chapters across the region in support of the Internet Society’s global mission. You will collaborate across teams with Internet Society and community experts to identify opportunities for collaboration that create impact towards our long-term strategic objectives (see also the Internet Society’s 2030 Strategy). In this role, you will nurture and strengthen our (currently) 31 chapters in the European region to create and maintain a strong community that can be effectively mobilized.

You will join the global Community Engagement Team that serves chapters, special interest groups, individual members, and organizational members around the world.

This role has no supervisory responsibility.
