Revenue Optimization & Pricing Strategy Analyst

The Pricing Strategy & RM Analytics Department is the team that supports the revenue management technology operations, enhancements and training for all hotels, specifically this includes ChoiceMAX and G3. As a key member of our team, you will lead the daily operations management of our industry leading Revenue Management Systems (RMS) and support internal and external teams in improving performance of our RMS’ solutions for optimal revenue growth.

  • Support our Revenue Management systems, including G3, ChoiceMAX and Extended Stay RMS
  • Support implementations, configurations and maintenance of our Revenue Management systems and tools.
  •  Provide operational support for onboarding new properties RMS’ and triage property related system issues
  • Measure RMS forecast accuracy by comparing expected close to actuals.
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities and evaluate the outcomes of strategic revenue growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and execute solutions for property related system issues.
  • Assist with training new associates as necessary on revenue management tools.
  • Assist with franchisee facing resources and training on revenue management tools
  • Build and apply analytics competencies in SQL and Tableau
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships across revenue management, marketing, business intelligence, technology, third party distribution and other departments
  • Develop project tracking for initiatives, communicate priorities, and report on progress

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelors in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience.  Experience in analytics, pricing, strategy, consulting, or commercial performance a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proficiency in Revenue Management Systems, Experience with G3, powered by IDeaS preferred
  • Demonstrates key competencies to include Action Oriented, Nimble Learning, Self-Development, Collaborates.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, persistence, and resolve in creative problem solving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Able to apply high level critical thinking skills to understand and solve complex problems having multiple complex variables, and to work across departments and disciplines to design solutions.  Able to prioritize objectives and identify resource needs.

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Sr Manager Pricing Optimization and RM Technology. You will have 2 peer teammate(s) and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Revenue Optimization & Pricing Strategy Analyst you will be a remote-based associate, working from your home office. You will be required to connect virtually with Choice team members and leadership on video via Zoom, with possible periodic travel in-person to our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide offices in North Bethesda, MD, Scottsdale, AZ, or St. Louis Park, MN.

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually.

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
