As our new Distribution Account Manager, you are responsible for managing existing customers and acquiring new ones within the UK. You are focusing on expanding IXON's market presence, driving revenue growth, and positioning IXON as a leader in IoT solutions for the machine-building sector. All of this in close collaboration with our local partner, ensuring they have all the resources and support they need to contribute to our goals.
To sum it up, these are your daily activities to drive local success:
Grow and nurture your industry network by building strong relationships with machine builders, system integrators, and other key partners, while regularly visiting customers to maintain engagement and encourage referrals.
Empower the distribution partner through coaching, joint customer visits, lead management, and by providing up-to-date sales tools and resources;
Lead the sales process by identifying customer needs, using the SPICED methodology, negotiating terms, and tracking success via new customer acquisition and ARR growth;
Clearly communicating IXON’s value proposition in every contact you have with (potential) customers, partners, during events or other on- and offline activities;
Uncover growth opportunities by inspiring customers and identifying upsell potential throughout the customer journey.
This makes you successful
An innate passion for building and maintaining strong and enduring relationships is at the core of this role’s success. Therefore, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, which helps you become a trustworthy partner within your region.
In addition, it would also be nice if you identify with the following points:
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the tech industry;
You know your way around software selling;
Familiarity with the machine manufacturing industry;
Preferably centrally located in the UK (e.g. Birmingham);
You are willing to travel periodically (30%-35% of the time), as engaging in joint customer visits, training and attending partner events is a crucial aspect of the role;
Excellent command of the English language.
