Scope of this role
We seek a detail-oriented, highly analytical BI Senior Analyst to join our finance team. The senior analyst will assist in driving the building of SAP Analytics Cloud Planning Models and Dashboards- closely coordinating with business partners of the functions- to source requirements and timelines. This role is critical to the development and enhancement of the SAC Planning Applications to enable the functionality and set of features that the business needs to effectively plan its financials. The ideal candidate should have strong financial modeling skills, knowledge of SAC Advanced Formulas, Javascript, and a solution mindset.

ResponsibilitiesStrong experience and deep technical understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning models, specifically) in addition to technical and application knowledge expertise of SAC. Design and develop data actions, multi actions, and calendar schedules for Planning models across Revenue, Opex, Capex, and HR/HeadcountDevelop Workforce (HR) Planning & Driver-based Revenue Planning modelsStrong understanding of data load procedures for planning inputs, company drivers, and importing transaction data from SAP S/4 system and SAP HANA databasesCommunicate effectively with FP&A team members to understand their needs, educate them on how SAC works, show them what is possible, and be transparent in your timelines to complete tasksPerforming data validation and data quality checksDrive mission-critical financial reporting and analytics (planning, forecasting, budgeting, monthly & quarterly variance analysis, etc.) for a large companyEnsure standard reports are produced & available as per stipulated timelines across all the verticals/business units. A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $100,000 - $300,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
