The Systems Engineering team at Nutanix is a dynamic and collaborative group based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. You will report to the Manager of Systems Engineering, who believes in fostering a supportive environment that encourages team members to seek help and learn from one another. The manager focuses on collaboration and values the transition path for mid-career IT professionals entering the world of systems engineering. The role can be performed remotely with flexibility regarding the location; however, specific in-office attendance requirements have not been defined, allowing for a tailored work arrangement that suits the employee's needs.

The travel requirements for this role are expected to be approximately 20 to 25%, with the potential for variation depending on the nature of travel. This may involve local driving within the metro area or occasional flight travel, making it essential for candidates to be adaptable to different travel scenarios as necessary for customer engagements and presentations.

Your Role

  • Collaborate with account executives to develop tailored sales strategies and client solutions.
  • Present product overviews and demonstrations to clients, emphasizing key features and benefits.
  • Size and configure solutions based on specific client requirements and needs.
  • Engage in customer travel, maintaining strong relationships and delivering presentations on-site.
  • Conduct proof of concepts to showcase product capabilities effectively.
  • Participate in onboarding and training to stay updated on product offerings and technologies.
  • Collaborate with both technical and sales teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of client solutions.
  • Adapt to a steep learning curve, seeking help when needed to overcome challenges during the onboarding period.

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 165,200 and USD $ 247,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
