At Exasol, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in data analytics, and we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help shape the future of data technology. Join our diverse, remote-first team where more than 30+ languages (and counting!) are spoken, and every voice is valued. We are looking for passionate individuals who thrive on collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to help shape the future of data technology.

As Senior Product Manager for Financial Services Solutions, you are driving Exasol’s product innovation for the FSI space. You are a domain expert with a deep understanding of business cases, architectures, and technological requirements of the banking sector in the DACH market. You have gained experience either in a position at a bank, a financial services provider, or a consulting partner in that space. You understand both the operational aspects as well as the business side. You are shaping the product roadmap for that vertical and are the subject matter expert for the go-to-market and account teams to support in messaging and specific opportunities and evangelize at industry events. You are also developing our FSI business and driving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive requirements analysis, market research, and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and data analytics to drive decisions, prioritize initiatives, and maintain a strong commercial focus.
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers and partners through regular communication and site visits to gather product requirements and establish effective feedback loops.
  • Contribute to the ideation, refinement, and alignment of the product roadmap in collaboration with engineering and key internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Develop and deliver educational and enablement programs for marketing and sales teams to ensure product understanding and effective communication.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert, providing crucial support to account teams in securing and closing deals.
  • Drive and take ownership of the overall business success of the financial services industry (FSI) initiatives.
  • Act as a company spokesperson at industry events, in press interviews, and with industry analysts to promote thought leadership and brand visibility.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a role at a bank, financial service provider, or consulting agency.
  • 2 years of experience in product management or a related field.
  • Deep expertise of FSI-specific business cases: banking & financial services.
  • Understanding of FSI-specific architectures as well as regulatory requirements (especially in the DACH market).
  • A confident public speaker who thrives on stage and enjoys evangelizing.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to summarize complex situations into key points.
  • Advanced meeting facilitation and presentation skills for all levels of staff, including top management.
  • Confident public speaker who enjoys evangelizing.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills.
  • Keen to travel regularly to customers, events, and team offsites.
  • Language Requirements: German (native speaking), English.

Location: This role is open to candidates located within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. Please note that if the successful candidate resides outside of Germany, Spain, or the United Kingdom, their employment will be facilitated through an Employer of Record (EOR) service.
