Staff Product Designer

Currently, we are searching for a proactive and experienced Staff Product Designer. As such, you’ll lead the team in creating and executing a strong design vision, with the opportunity to directly impact the experience of our users. In this role, you will lead and work directly in a trio with engineering and product partners as you drive and advocate for the users through design, discovery, and delivery – leading and advocating for the user, pushing for best practices, taking ownership of ensuring correct implementation and identifying strategic opportunities and leading to those outcomes.  You’ll be joining a diverse and international UX team with lots of learning opportunities. You’ll be delivering top quality design work for all platforms, working with the UX Manager and a team of highly talented Product Managers, Designers, User Researchers, and Engineers who appreciate user experience and want to build the best products available in the market. 

Your Day to Day 

• Own and lead all phases of UX – discovery, design, and delivery. 

• Identify opportunities to improve the process and interactions with the trio partners and designers working on the team – and implement those improvements. 

• Facilitate design reviews, critiques and workshops with the trio – advocating for the user, understand and advocating for priorities in trade-off conversations, with an eye towards not just short-term wins – but long-term optimization of the user experience. 

• Use data gained from working with UX researchers to help inform your design decisions and work closely with the product management and engineering teams to formulate strategic product direction. 

• Develop and own a deep understanding of the customer and customer journey. Curate that understanding, updating based on research and driving advocacy resulting from that understanding. 

• Develop a deep understanding of the product – and curate that knowledge – updating and being current with all changes and understanding the use cases drive the functionality they support 

• Develop a clear understanding of the competitive landscape – informing design direction, opportunities for disruption and innovation 

• Develop design concepts and solutions that apply your understanding of user problems, product vision, and technology capabilities. 

• Create and validate prototypes using a variety of testing methods. 

What We´re Looking For 

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in leading design in senior roles in a lean, agile and delivery -driven environment. 

• Deep knowledge and experience in designing mobile native for both iOS and Android.  

• Ability to create design deliverables for the entire user experience, including, design visions and initial concepts, workflows, wireframes, and polished visual comps. 

• A portfolio showing case studies for both Web/Desktop and Mobile, demonstrating design-thinking process for shipping the right product and feature according to various project constraints. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to innovate coupled with strong self-governing abilities. 

• Top-tier communicator with the ability to drive collaboration in a cross-functional environment, inspire and mentor others, give constructive feedback, and facilitate productive workshops.
