YOUR IMPACT

OpenText is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our growing Cybersecurity Data Protection and Data Security sales team. This team plays a key role in driving revenue through strategic partner management, pipeline generation, and collaborative marketing initiatives.

Our solution focus includes Carbonite offerings such as cloud backup and recovery (for both servers and endpoints), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), high availability, migration solutions, and services, along with OpenText cybersecurity solutions. Together, these offerings deliver cyber resilience—ensuring our customers are protected and prepared in an era of growing cyber threats.

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market strategy within your assigned territory to grow and cultivate opportunities in the cybersecurity space. You’ll work closely with Inside Sales Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Strategic partners to champion the cyber resilience message and deliver our value proposition to partners and their end customers.

 

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Helping customers and partners progress through our sales process.
  • Working effectively in a team setting with AEs, SEs, Marketing, etc.
  • Building and nurturing top-down, key relationships within target accounts.
  • Developing and implementing strategic business plans for your territory in conjunction with sales leadership on the company’s overall vision and business model.
  • Identifying and selling into new accounts where our offerings help protect their revenue streams.
  • Coordinating and delivering sales and technical enablement to partners in collaboration with dedicated Partner Account Managers and the sales engineering team – enabling our partners to think of us first when a project arises.
  • Maintaining high levels of activity and productivity in a highly autonomous virtual work environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 7+ years of sales/account management experience, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • Track record of proven success achieving sales targets and driving sales growth.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing pipelines, lead generation, business plan execution and complex sales with channel partners and end users.
  • Must be able to understand and articulate Cybersecurity Data Protection and Security propositions – tell the cyber resiliency story.
  • Must be able to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Willingness to travel with easy airport access (up to 50% travel when permissible).
  • Knowledge of cyber security, endpoint and/or backup protection.

 

Estimated Base Salary: $115,000-$130,000 USD
