About the Role: 
The Director of Channel Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving partner engagement, accelerating pipeline, and influencing revenue across F5’s national, regional, public sector, and distribution channel ecosystems in North America. This role oversees a team of high-performing channel marketers and works closely with channel sales leadership to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with F5’s go-to-market (GTM) priorities. The Director, Channel Marketing will be instrumental in building partner mindshare, deepening relationships, and supporting field execution. 

This position reports to the Senior Director of Field & Channel Marketing and can be based remotely. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership & Team Management: 

  • Lead and mentor the NAMER Channel Marketing team, providing strategic guidance across national, regional, public sector, and distribution partners. 
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture that aligns with F5's GTM priorities and core behaviors. 
  • Drive planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that generate awareness, demand, and partner loyalty. 

National Partner Marketing: 

  • Oversee execution of marketing plans for top-tier national partners (e.g., CDW, ePlus, Optiv, WWT, WITIT, SHI, Presidio, GuidePoint, Trace3). 
  • Align tightly with National Partner Managers (NPMs) to ensure joint planning, enablement, and co-branded demand generation programs are impactful and measurable. 

Regional & Public Sector Marketing: 

 

  • Lead and support regional channel marketing initiatives across the East, West, and Public Sector segments, ensuring strategies are aligned with regional sales objectives and partner priorities. 
  • Drive high-impact programs that strengthen partner relationships, expand regional market presence, and accelerate opportunity development. 

Distribution Marketing: 

  • Partner with distributors like TD SYNNEX, Carahsoft and Ingram Micro to drive longtail partner enablement and growth. 
  • Support local execution through marketing investments designed to increase PIO bookings and drive traction with authorized and silver partners. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Align closely with the RVP of Channel Sales for North America to ensure regional and national marketing plans are directly supporting sales objectives, partner priorities, and revenue targets. 
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and execution across the partner ecosystem. 
  • Partner with Sales Enablement, Channel SEs, and Channel Account Managers to deliver timely, relevant, and impactful partner-facing programs. 
  • Coordinate with Brand, Digital, and Events teams to amplify national and regional partner campaigns and ensure visibility across the broader marketing landscape. 
  • Support integrated communications and digital strategy to promote co-marketing success and enable ongoing program optimization. 

Performance & Reporting: 

  • Establish KPIs for all programs, ensuring performance tracking and ROI measurement across all partner segments. 
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with internal stakeholders and partners to share results and refine strategies. 
  • Ensure marketing activities support pipeline acceleration, partner recruitment and more partner engagement. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field; MBA a plus. 
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B marketing, including 5+ years in a leadership role within the channel or partner ecosystem. 
  • Deep understanding of channel dynamics, partner segmentation, and co-marketing best practices across national, regional, public sector, and distribution. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven mindset and experience managing pipeline and revenue-based marketing metrics. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across marketing, sales, and partner organizations. 
  • Experience with Salesforce, partner portals, and marketing automation platforms preferred.

The annual base pay for this position is: $187,145.00 - $280,717.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
