Job description

Sales Development Representative

JBS Dev is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR), who will be responsible for driving our business forward by identifying and selling to new clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on proactive outreach and persistence, can quickly build rapport with client executives, and collaborates closely with the JBS Dev leadership team to deliver accurate estimates and proposals.

As an SDR, you will be selling strategy and architecture, data warehousing, business intelligence and data science, mobile application development, and visual interface design services. Our clients span diverse industries such as SaaS, retail, financial services, education, non-profit, and healthcare.

This position is fully remote; however, candidates must reside in Costa Rica to be eligible for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume cold calls using an auto-dialer to generate qualified leads and new business opportunities.
  • Schedule meetings, demos, or discovery calls between qualified leads and Account Executives.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, understanding their business needs and level of interest in JBS Dev services.
  • Maintain detailed up-to-date records of all prospect and client interactions in the CRM.
  • Proactively nurture relationships and move prospects through the sales pipeline with a timely and relevant follow-up.
  • Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to improve lead generation and sales strategies.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed daily outreach and activity metrics in alignment with weekly and quarterly goals.
  • Promptly review and complete daily tasks, including timely and persistent follow-up with prospects.
  • Respond to coaching and feedback, and demonstrate growth and improvement through call reviews and ongoing training.

Required

  • 4+ years in a Business/Sales Development Representative, or similar position
                  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
                  • Comfortable and confident making high volumes of cold calls daily.
                  • Track record of meeting or exceeding outreach, meeting booking, and quota targets.
                  • Demonstrated ability to engage and qualify technical business executives (e.g., CTOs, IT Directors, Engineering Managers).
                  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, along with experience negotiating and handling objections.
                  • Basic technical understanding of cloud, software, or data solutions (no coding required, but tech fluency is a must).
                  • Resilient and motivated—comfortable with rejection and able to maintain a positive attitude and persistence.
                  • Coachable, self-directed, and results-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
