About the role


Roar Apex is looking for a highly skilled and ambitious UI/UX Designer to support an innovative fintech client focused on helping families build generational wealth through automated investing. This role requires expertise in designing intuitive and visually compelling user experiences across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of projects from ideation to implementation, and balances aesthetics, functionality, and user needs. They should be comfortable conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, refining UI components, and collaborating cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and marketing teams. This is a unique opportunity to join a company operating across the U.S. and Canada, rapidly expanding with the backing of industry leaders, to shape meaningful financial solutions through innovative design.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Conduct user research, analyse user behaviour, and translate insights into design improvements.  
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.  
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth implementation of UI/UX designs.  
  • Create and maintain design systems and UI components for consistency across platforms.  
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback.  
  • Ensure responsiveness and accessibility in all designs.  
  • Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements


  • 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or a similar role.  
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects across web and mobile platforms.  
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator.  
  • Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.  
  • Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a user-centric approach.  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.  
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
