Senior Program Accountant
100% Remote within California, Must reside in California

What You’ll Do
The Senior Program Accountant is responsible for full-cycle finance and accounting functions for assigned projects and programs and serves as accountant, financial analyst, and advisor to project and program owners. This position manages tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, contract/grant reporting, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
Manages assigned contracts, grants and/or fiscal sponsor relationships which completes and reviews costing allocations, provides oversight for Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable functions and answering inquiries made by contract/grant managers and other personnel
Supports balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations as assigned on a monthly basis, and audit process annually
Builds and cultivates relationships internally and externally where appropriate, acts as organizational brand ambassador as needed and provides business development support and input where there is opportunity
Attributes for Success
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
Knowledge of Workday and Adaptive Planning technology systems is preferred.
A strategic and creative thinker who can problem-solve, working within and across teams to swiftly respond to needs identified across the California Community Colleges.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:
$88,000.00 - $92,000.00Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
