Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of an Audit and Review Case Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £32.32 - £44.01 per Hour

Summary:

We are seeking experienced SEND Case Workers with a proven track record of working effectively within Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the SEND improvement agenda and ensuring that high-quality Education, Health and Care (EHC) planning is in place for children and young people.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current position with regard to EHC needs assessments, quality of EHC plans, and annual reviews within the first month.
  • Identify gaps in practice for individual children/young people and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide weekly progress updates to the SEND Improvement Lead.
  • Present cases to internal panels as required (e.g., High Cost Panel or Preparing for Adulthood Panel).
  • Take on complex casework if needed to progress a child/young persons EHC plan.
  • Use the Synergy system for case management (training will be provided in Swindon if not already proficient).

Essentials:

  • Significant experience as a SEND Case Worker.
  • Proven ability to manage complex casework and contribute to strategic improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of the EHC needs assessment process and annual review requirements.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to present cases to professional panels confidently.
  • Familiarity with the Synergy system is desirable (training can be provided).
